Premieres on April 5th – 🚀 A Must for Innovators – 🌟 Breaking Boundaries in Medicine

This April 5th the German television channel ARD releases publicly the 4th season of „Charité” (available online/Mediathek), transporting viewers to the year 2049: Almost inhumanly high temperatures prevail, a new healthcare reform divides society, but the opportunities offered by innovation continue to captivate.

In parallel, a compelling documentary „Hirschhausen – Medizin von morgen“ (Hirschhausen – Medicine of Tomorrow) is released. Hosted by the renowned Dr. med. Eckart von Hirschhausen, the documentary is a testament to the indomitable spirit of human curiosity and the relentless pursuit of medical advancements.

One focus of this documentary is the pioneering work of Professor Simone Spuler, with all her forefront efforts of developing effective gene repair therapies for genetically caused muscular dystrophies. Adding the important dimension to the documentary, a young woman studying medicine while living with all the consequences of such a progressive muscular dystrophy herself shares her perspective on these emerging innovations.
